21 Day Fix Review

21 Day Fix is a really easy program to follow and learn as opposed to other diet programs, and it has visible and sustainable results.


       


What is 21 Day Fix?

  • A 21-day program of simple portion control and 30-minute workouts that anyone can do

    You see that? No counting calories! Or macros. Or points. The most planning I did was my grocery list. The program comes with sample meal plans and recipes and you can opt to invest in the trainer's cookbook where everything is portion controlled (the recipes are simple and delicious). I also have a few meal plans and tips that make it easier to follow, if you are the type of person who wants someone to just tell you what to do! 


How to use the program:

Essentially you calculate out what container bracket you fall into based on your weight and your nutrition goals (i.e: lose weight/maintain current weight). Then you simply fill each container each day with the maximum number of refills you are allowed based on your bracket. 

Each container is color-coded and a different size to accommodate certain food groups. For example, the biggest containers are both fruits and veggies. Based on my weight and goals, I'm allowed to fill the veggie container 3x per day. I only use the containers to measure my food out before I cook or eat it. Use all of your containers every day. I was surprised at first by how MUCH food I had and had difficulty getting it all down!

The Workouts:

To take it to the next level, you can add in the workouts that come with the program. It has 7 workouts for each day of the week and they are never more than 30 minutes long. Two of the workouts are active recovery workouts so they are much less strenuous, more relaxed, and feel good when they are over. There is also a modifier in each video for you to follow if you are feeling tight, sore, or have been inactive for a period of time. 


My Results:

In my first round alone, I lost 10 pounds and I lost several inches from all over my body. I learned a lot about what was nutritious and was able to "think" in terms of containers when I was grocery shopping, meal planning, or even when I went out to eat. 

No, ladies, you will not bulk up on this program! Instead, you'll see some great definition in your arms and legs, a whittled waistline, and you will feel amazing! It honestly takes some serious lifting to build some serious muscle and mass and you will not get this within 21 days or even a few rounds of this program.
