Body Beast

Body Beast Review

Body beast turned out to be my favorite program so far! It is a lot more weight training and a lot less cardio than some other programs, but it was easy to follow and keep track of and hold myself accountable.

  • Body Beast is for:

    • Men and women looking to build a head-turning physique
    • Graduates of other extreme fitness programs who want to focus on weight loss and building lean muscle mass
    • Men and women who work out but aren’t getting the results they’ve hoped for
    • Weight-lifting enthusiasts looking for a comprehensive at-home program

  1. I recommend that you do this program after you graduate from another fitness program or have hit a plateau in your fitness goals. It flowed well for me after 21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme because I had a strong foundation for an appropriate diet to accommodate this program. Had I jumped straight into Body Beast, I would have been likely to eat a lot of pizza and junk as if the workout would off-set poor nutrition.

I really appreciated that there is a free mobile tracker app. I did not love the music and the trainer in the program, so the app let me bypass what I didn't like from the videos and still get in my workout. I also liked that even the app did not allow you to "fast forward" because it required you to input your reps/weights for each exercise before allowing you to advance to the next group or the next day. I couldn't cheat myself - I had to do leg day and cardio days to get to my arm days and my rest day!
Workouts take about 30-45 minutes each day, 6 days a week.

There is also an option to do tempo workouts as an alternative, which I enjoyed putting in to mix it up over the course of the 90 days. I also really love the bonus workout "Lucky 7" and sometimes substitute that for a total-body workout in other programs I have and use.
